Sta. Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas celebrates CNY despite illness
In previous years, Sta. Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas welcomed the lunar new year at the New World Hotel.
But this year, she got sick and had to stay home.
But this did not stop her from celebrating Chinese New Year in her own way.
In a Facebok post, she said was still able to serve the traditional new year’s eve meal that consists of prawn salad, noodles, suckling pig, steamed fish and tikoy.
She was only in her pajamas, but she made sure to wear the auspicious color red as well.
She may have been sick, but she didn’t let it stop her from making sure she gets lucky this year!
“Missed my yearly Chinese New Year’s Eve celebration in New World Hotel with Yin & Yang because of being a little sick for several days.
Didn’t stop me/us from welcoming the New Lunar Year at home – with the traditional New Year’s Eve meal of prawn salad, noodles, suckling pig, steamed fish and tikoy.
Check out my traditional table setup. And of course, wearing red – even my pajamas! 😂
GONG XI FA CAI!!!🎊,” Arcillas posted.
