Imus happy to come to the aid of Taal evacuees, says Vice Mayor Ony Cantimbuhan
Since Imus was spared the worst of Taal Volcano’s eruption, it has the time and resources to help the less fortunate towns.
This was why the local government, headed by Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi and Vice Mayor Ony Cantimbuhan, gathered relief items to give to the evacuees.
A post on Cantimbuhan’s Facebook page said the officials and their families drove to Alfonso to distribute food and other items to 3,000 individuals who had fled there from Lemery and Laurel, Batangas.
If you’re lucky enough to escape Taal’s wrath, why not consider helping others, just like they did?
