Don’t block the view! Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz hopes the next Black Nazarene feast will give a clear view of the image
People flock to the feast of the Black Nazarene because they want to pay tribute to and get a glimpse of the miraculous image.
But Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz noted that the image has tended to be surrounded by a swarm of devotees who climbed up onto its carriage, as seen in a photo he shared on Facebook.
This obstructed the Black Nazarene from the view of many other faithful, he said.
He hoped changes would be made in the following year, including ensuring an unobstructed view of the Black Nazarene.
Devotees should be able to see what they came for!
“Nasan po ung Nazareno? Sana maisama sa mga pagbabago ay yung konti lang yung nasa taas para makita naman yung Itim na Nazareno…,” Cruz posted.
