Proud to be Batangueno! Dodo Mandanas leads celebration of province’s 438th anniversary

Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas urged residents to be proud of their heritage as he led the celebration of the province’s 438th foundation day on December 8, 2019.
Mandanas led local politikos in marking the occasion at the DREAM Zone within the provincial capitol in Batangas City with a mass and a program.
Among the highlights of the celebration were ceremonial turnover of provincial history books to Archbishop Garcera, and the grant of the Eminent Person Award to National Artist for Literature Dr. Bienvenido Lumbera.
In his speech, the governor said the celebration of Batangas’ foundation day is an occasion to recognize the contributions of its residents to nation building.
“That’s why we always work in maintaining our dignity, our integrity and our nobility,” Mandanas said.
