Avoid scams, write that extra “20,” says Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz

Jan 3, 2020 @ 13:22

As the new year begins, Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz has some sound advice that could save people a lot of trouble.

Cruz shared a post advising people to write the full year “2020” on documents, instead of just writing the last two numbers as usual.

This is to prevent unscrupulous persons from tampering with the date on legal documents by adding two new numbers at the end.

If you just write “20” as the year, any person could alter it by adding two new numbers at the end to make it 2017 or 2019, he explained.

Let’s avoid any hassle by learning to write those two extra numbers!

“Baka po makatulong ito sa atin. Tama nga naman na buuin ang pagsulat ng year na 2020. Kase pag ‘20 lang baka gawing 2019, 2017 etc…,” Cruz posted.
