Still relevant! Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez asks pinoys to be like Rizal

Dec 30, 2019 @ 14:33

Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez paid tribute to the province’s most famous son, national hero Jose Rizal, and asked everyone to be like him.

In a Facebook post on Rizal Day, Hernandez said Rizal was the kind of man who, even with his educational and professional achievements chose to stay and fight for the Philippines rather than live a quiet and peaceful life abroad.

Rizal fought the violence, corruption, and abuses of Spanish colonizers and sacrificed a lot for the land of his birth, the governor said.

But Filipinos can be heroes like Rizal even in simple ways, he said.

We can be good citizens like him!
