Timely promise! Sta. Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas vows support for DepEd’s programs

Dec 10, 2019 @ 14:48

With the Philippines faring badly in reading comprehension and math and science based on an international test, Sta. Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas’ promise to support education programs comes at an opportune time.

Arcillas was a guest at a basic education summit in Sta. Rosa and she affirmed her commitment to providing quality education in the city.

The local government would support the programs and thrusts of the Schools Division of Santa Rosa City most especially the K to 12 Basic Education initiatives, she said in a Facebook post.

She also vowed to help the development of students to help them become life-long learners, and to improve the delivery of quality and inclusive basic education.

With efforts like hers, maybe the Philippines will fare better next time!

“2019 Division Basic Education Summit featuring the State of the Division of Santa Rosa City Superintendent Address with the theme, ‘Leading for Sustainable Partnerships for Quality,’ Accessible, Relevant and Liberating Education” held at Laguna Technopark Hotel last November 19, 2019.

Thank you for having me – rest assured that the City Government of Santa Rosa will continue to support the programs and thrusts of the Schools Division of Santa Rosa City most especially the K to 12 Basic Education initiatives as well as in the development of life-long learners and enhancement of the delivery of quality and inclusive basic education! 🦁,” Arcillas posted.
