Parang mascot! Mark Leviste’s dog brings cheer to ‘Tisoy’ evacuees

Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste spread good vibes in Batangas following Typhon Tisoy’s onslaught by bringing his dog, Cinco, to his visits to evacuation centers.

In an Instagram post, Leviste shared photos of him and Cinco inside evacuation centers where residents camped during the typhoon.

He explained in the caption that his decision to bring a dog was inspired by the movie he recently watched, titled “A Dog’s Way Home.”

” I was inspired by the story of ‘Bella’ the main dog.Not only did she give joy to her owners, but she also comforted the sick,” the vice governor said.

Leviste said he observed Cinco had the same effect on evacuees.

“When I brought Cinco along with me, I noticed an instant change of mood especially among the kids. They were amused, entertained and playful with him. It was similar to bringing a mascot to a children’s party,” he said.

Perhaps Cinco will be Leviste’s constant companion in his trips around Batangas from now on.

Share ko lang yung good vibes nung sinama ko si Cinco ? sa aking pagbisita sa mga evacuations centers ng iba’t-ibang bayan sa Batangas. During my recent trip from China, I watched “A Dog’s Way Home” the movie in the plane, and I was inspired by the story of “Bella” the main dog. Not only did she give joy to her owners, but she also comforted the sick. When I brought Cinco along with me, I noticed an instant change of mood especially among the kids. They were amused, entertained and playful with him. It was similar to bringing a mascot to a children’s party. I’m grateful for having an adorable and friendly pet like Cinco, and most importantly, I am thankful that our people are safe from harm. Maraming Salamat sa lahat ng tumulong, nag sakripisyo at nagmalasakit para sa ating mga kababayan. ?? Tisoy laang yan, Pinoy tayo! ❤️ [1/2 posts] #GoodVice #LingkodLeviste #MultiplePhotos ↔️
