Alfonso Mayor Randy Salamat serves as typhoon call center
Sometimes, not even calamities can take people off social media.
This could be why Alfonso Mayor Randy Salamat decided to use his Facebook page as a hotline to determine which of his constituents would need assistance during the onslaught of typhoon Tisoy.
In a Facebook post, Salamat said he and other local officials were keeping close watch on Alfonso residents.
And those who need help or rescue could just post their name, address, contact number, and their concern on his page so that the officials could take action, he said.
He told them that he would serve as their call center.
Their concerns go directly to the top!
“Ang lakas na ng ulan at hangin. Keep safe Alfonso.
Please share for widest information,” Salamat posted.
