Trash to treasure! Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz promotes items made out of old sachets
Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz is championing a project that turns discarded sachets into other items, while helping detainees become productive.
In a Facebook post, Cruz said the sachets have been turned into coin purses, which are then sold.
Because of this project, the detainees at the lock up jail have found a good use of their time and were able to earn money for food while waiting for their freedom, he said.
Those who want to donate sachets— even those that are unused are welcome, of course— could visit the lock up jail, he said.
They could also buy the products there.
Why not help give detainees a hand?
