Konting kunsiderasyon naman! Sol Aragones wants SLEX toll fees suspended or reduced for 6 months
Laguna Rep. Sol Aragones has filed a resolution in the House of Representatives asking operators of South Luzon Expressway to reduce toll fees, if not suspend its collection, for six months while the construction of the Skyway Extension is ongoing.
Aragones said the closure of portions of SLEX because of the construction has resulted in a traffic gridlock affecting thousands of motorists daily.
“The motorists and commuters should be provided relief from the inconvenience caused by the worsening traffic conditions in the expressway,” she said in House Resolution No. 428.
Aragones said she is leaving it up to SLEX’s operator and the Toll Regulatory Board to decide how much the toll fee should be reduced in case its collection will not be suspended.
She said the period for reduced toll fees or suspended collection can be shorter than six months if the construction of the Skyway Extension is finished early.
