Bakit ang bagal? San Pedro Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz laments slow construction of bridge

San Pedro Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz is getting fed up with the slow work on a bridge in her city, and she wants the Department of Public Works and Highways to do something about it.
In a Facebook post, Cataquiz said she wrote tor the DPHW because it has been years and the work on the infrastructure project has yet to be completed.
She and other San Pedro officials had regularly inspected it and talked to the foreman to get it moving, and stressed that further delays just add to the cost and hassle for everyone.
She is doing all she can to make traffic flow smoothly in San Pedro. Let’s hope the others step up as well!
“Makailang beses tayong sumulat sa Department of Public Works and Highways at makaraan ang ilang taon ng paghihintay, nakakalungkot makita na hindi pa din ito lubusang natatapos. Sa ating muling pag-inspeksyon kasama si City Engineer Emmanuel Ables, atin nang masinsinang kinausap ang foreman. Ayoko ng inuulit. Bukod sa magastos, ito ay dagdag abala pa.
Atin ding kinausap ang nagtitinda ng parol na siya nating ililipat ng pwesto: kung saan hindi siya makakaabala sa daloy ng trapiko. Ang Cenro San Pedro ay ating aatasang maglinis ng mga basurang nasa tabi ng tulay at atin ding aayusin ang hagdan sa gilid na nito,” Cataquiz posted.
