Danny Suarez clarifies: No ASF in Quezon

Oct 4, 2019 @ 20:33

Quezon Governor Danny Suarez has assured residents that the province remains safe from African Swine Fever (ASF) amid rumors of an outbreak.

Citing information from the provincial veterinarian, Suarez said there’s no basis for the temporary ban issued by the provinces of Benguet and Ilocos Sur for pork products coming from Quezon.

The governor urged hog raisers to cooperate with authorities to ensure ASF does not affect pigs in the province.
