Dodo Mandanas fetes Batangas tourism providers

Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas recognized the entities which made major contributions to the local tourism industry after the province was recognized by the Department of Tourism (DOT) as one of the top three most visited tourism destinations nationwide last year.
In ceremonies held at the provincial capitol last week, Mandanas lauded Sto. Tomas City for having the highest number of tourist arrivals among local government units.
Based on DOT’s data, more than 8 million tourists visited Sto. Tomas City to see the National Shrine of Padre Pio.
Meanwhile, the private entities recognized for boosting tourist arrivals were Sea Spring Resort Inc. in Mabini, Kabayan Beach Resort in San Juan, Caleruega Retreat Center in Nasugbu and Marian Orchard Faith Foundation, Inc. in Balete.
Mandanas also recognized the towns of Balete, San Juan, Mabini, Nasugbu, Talisay and Balayan for being major contributors in tourist arrivals among LGUs.
