Green paradise set to rise: Andeng Ynares announces constructionof forest park in Antipolo
Filipinos can soon find a tree-filled escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life in Rizal.
Antipolo City Mayor Andeng Ynares announced on her Facebook page the construction of the Calabarzon forest park in the city.
Ynares said the 25-hectare park will be the home of various kinds of plants, including indigenous and fruit bearing trees.
The mayor accompanied her post with a photo of a grassy terrain– presumably the location of the park– as a teaser of the oasis that will soon be built in Antipolo.
Although construction of the park has not yet started, Ynares urged the public to take care of it.
“Atin pong pangalagaan at protektahan ang Inang Kalikasan para sa kinabukasan ng ating bayan,” she said.
