DPWH eyes opening CALAX’s first 10-km. segment in October
Public Works Secretary Mark Villar is targeting October for the opening of the first 10-kilometer segment of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).
During the inspection of CALAX Tuesday (September 3), Villar said about 10,000 cars are expected to use the highway. This, he said, will eventually decongesting Governor’s Drive, Aguinaldo Highway, and Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road.
L”Once completed it will only take 45 minutes from the usual 2-hour travel time taking the same route and about 50k cars will experience this convenience.” Villar said.
Calax’s first segment starts at the Mamplasan Barrier and passes through Laguna Technopark interchange, Laguna Boulevard Interchange all the way to Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Interchange.
