Blessed encounter: Eric Africa touches relic of Saint John Paul II
Lipa, Batangas Mayor Eric Africa had a memorable experience on August 12 as he was able to see and touch the relic of Saint John Paul II.
Africa welcomed the Catholic Church officials who brought the relic for veneration at the Basilio Fernando Air Base.
He was accompanied by Mataas na Kahoy Mayor Janet Ilagan and Tanauan City Mayor Sweet Halili.
Aside from the relic, the church officials also brought with them the National Youth Cross.
As a sign of respect and veneration, Africa kissed both the cross and the relic.
