Malayo man, malapit din: Ramil Hernandez signs deal to help OFWs
Governor Ramil Hernandez has signed an agreement with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) to help Laguna residents working abroad to be closer to their families.
The agreement was for “BALINKBAYAN: Overseas Filipino’s One Stop Online Portal Diaspora Engagement,” which aims to be a bridge for OFWs and their relatives.
CFO will be in charge of creating the BalinkBayan webpage featuring programs helpful to OFWs such as livelihood assistance and educational assistance, as well as medical services.
The portal will also serve as a Migrant Resource Center to be managed by the Laguna Public Employment and Services Offices.
CFO provided one personal computer set to Laguna for the implementation of the project.
