Lechon is life, says Magallanes Mayor Jasmin Maligaya Bautista

Jul 11, 2019 @ 11:52

Lechon is a staple in Filipino feasts, but it could also be a source of livelihood for many, according to Magallanes Mayor Jasmin Maligaya Bautista.

In a Facebook post, Bautista said there is a high demand for native pigs because they make for a delicious lechon, complete with crispy skin.

They are also easy to take care of and no huge capital is needed.

This is why she is inviting those interested to go into this business to join the free training sessions to be offered by the Farmers Information Technology Services Center in cooperation with the mayor’s office and the Cavite State University.

Lechon is livelihood as well!
