Dodo Mandanas graces TESDA graduation rites
Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas inspired hundreds of students of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Training Center – CALABARZON by attending their graduation rites on May 23.
In his speech, Mandanas said the skills that the trainees acquired will help them carve out a new beginning in their lives.
A total of 425 trainees finished technical and vocational courses at TESDA under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) and Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).
Among the courses available to the trainees were: Auto Maintenance Mechanic, Aluminum and Stainless Welding, Fitter Machining, Industrial Electricity, Plate and Pipe Welding, RAC and Appliance Servicing Mechanic, SMAW Welding, Structural Fitting, Masonry and Construction Painting, Hilot Wellness Massage NC II, English and Spanish Language Training, at Korean Language and Culture Training.
Based on TESDA’s data, seven out of 10 trainees who finished their courses are able to find work six months to one year after graduation, whether in the country or abroad.
