Cainta Vice Mayor and mayoralty candidate Pia Shuck Velasco does the math

May 15, 2019 @ 12:19

It looks like Cainta Vice Mayor and mayoralty candidate Pia Shuck Velasco has found it hard to accept the landslide win of her rival, incumbent Mayor Kit Nieto.

Velasco, in a Facebook post, shared the partial unofficial results of the polls that showed Nieto with more than 98,000 votes and she with more than 7,300.

She said the figures would mean that only 6 to 7 people per precinct voted for her, since there are 1,224 precincts in the municipality.

She seemed to allude that this was due to her small budget compared to her rival, as she posted that this was “130M vs P20.”

Is this really what it all boils down to?

“7343 (90% of votes palang ito) i divide natin sa 1224 established precincts ng Cainta, 6 to 7 katao per presinto ang bumoto sa atin.

130M vs. P20,” Velasco posted.
