Quezon Rep. Helen Tan hopes to see her district filled with strawberry fields

Apr 2, 2019 @ 13:11

Quezon Rep. Helen Tan isn’t just a doctor; she has a farmer’s heart, too.

This was what Tan revealed in a Facebook post when she said she was trying out strawberry farming in her district.

She said efforts are being made to see if the fruit, which famously grows in the colder climes of Baguio, could flourish in Quezon.

It appears to be going well, since several strawberry plants look to be thriving, she said.

She was excited about the development because it means another source of livelihood for her constituents.

Will we soon see strawberry fields in Quezon?
