Miss takas! Batangas mayor Dinglasan faces raps over unauthorized US trip
San Pascual, Batangas Mayor Roanna Dinglasan faces a complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman concerning the unauthorized trip she made to the United States.
The complaint was filed by Vice Mayor Arguelles Dimayuga who accused her of having committed grave misconduct and gross ignorance of the law.
The complainant explained Dinglasan went to the US with her husband Nicasio and their children from Dec. 20, 2018 to Jan. 5, 2019 without even informing the municipal council.
“In fine, as a result of respondent Conti’s personal political egotism, the Office of the Municipal Mayor of San Pascual, Batangas, or the municipality in general, was left from December 20, 2018 to January 5, 2019, without a designated OIC local chief executives to do the duties she was incapable to perform,” he pointed out.
While she was on leave, Dimayuga explained he was the one who should have taken her place.
However, he stressed he “was not provided the chance to assume the temporarily vacated post of Conti during her overseas travel.”
