Palpak na PITX! Boying Remulla writes Tugade on how transpo hub makes commuting hell for Caviteños
Cavite Governor Boying Remulla has written Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade to inform him about the difficulties experienced by his constituents in traveling since the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) opened late last year.
In a letter dated Jan. 25 addressed to Tugade, Remulla gave suggestions on how the Department of Transportation can make commuting more convenient for those coming from Cavite considering PITX “has just opened and is not yet fully operational.”
Among the suggestions made by Remulla are for the DOTr to give permits to all public utility vehicles (PUVs) coming from Cavite to enter Metro Manila up to its designated terminal to pick up and drop off passengers.
The governor also suggested that the DOTr provide shuttle services for commuters to and from PITX, particularly for those coming from the Makati Central Business District, Bonifacio Global City, Ortigas Center and downtown Manila.
Remulla said it would also help if PUVs bound for Cavite will only be allowed to pick up passengers at PITX.
The governor likewise urged the DOTr to fast-track the completion of the LRT-1 extension project that will link Metro Manila to Cavite so commuters will have more options.
