Midweek break! Palace declares January 16 a non-working day in Batangas City
Batangueños will have a much needed respite from work as Malacañang declared January 16 as a special non-working day in Batangas City.
In Proclamation No. 647, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said “it is but fitting and proper” to call off work in Batangas City on Wednesday to give residents the chance to celebrate the city’s fiesta, as well as its Cultural and Tourism Day.
Medialdea signed the proclamation on January 11 by authority of President Rodrigo Duterte.
A copy of Proclamation No. 647, however, was only released to the media on Monday.
