Para handa sa oras ng sakuna: Bacoor’s new temporary housing facility breaks ground
Residents of Bacoor, Cavite will soon have temporary shelters to run to in times of disasters.
Mayor Lani Mercado recently led the groundbreaking ceremonies of Ciudad Malasakit, which will serve as the transition homes for families displaced by calamities.
The housing facility, which will rise in Barangay Salinas 1, will be made up of 120 to 150 two-storey units of temporary shelter.
Its construction will be funded by the Bacoor government’s disaster funds.
Joining Mercado at the event were Atty. Bernadette Carrasco of the Housing Urban Development and Resettlement Department, Richard Quion of the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Atty. Jess Salvador of the Engineering Office, Annie Nacianceno of the Community Development and Support Services Division, the Shapell Homeowners Association, and the Bacoor City Urban Federation Council.
