Malakas ka ba sumipa? Sta. Maria Mayor Tony Carolino offers free taekwondo classes
It’s always a useful skill for kids to know how to defend yourself, and if you live in Sta. Maria, Laguna, you’re in luck.
This is because there are free taekwondo training classes in Sta. Maria for children seven years old and above, according to Mayor Tony Carolino.
In a Facebook post, Carolino shared a photo of the members of the team showing off their skills and said it was still welcoming trainees.
The sessions are held every Friday and Sunday at the Santa Maria Town Plaza.
The program is part of the town’s sports development program that also doubles as an activity to lure children away from illegal drugs.
With this taekwondo training, kids are steered away from drugs and get to be badass as well!
“Santa Maria Taekwondo Team hard at work. We are still accepting trainees. For children 7years old and above. Training every Friday 5pm and Sunday 1pm at Santa Maria Town Plaza #freetaekwondotraining #santamariayouthdevelopmentprogram #carolinocares #sportsdevelopmentprogram #mayortonycarolino #sasportsmaylabantayo #antiillegaldrugsprogram,” Carolino posted.
