Under Provincial Ordinance No. 222 or the “Dog Owners’ Responsibility Ordinance in the Province of Cavite,” each dog owner will be required to provide enclosures or fenced-in yard for their pet dogs.

Dogs must also be securely leashed whenever taken out of the house.

Aside from these, owners are required to ensure their dogs are given immunizations.

The measure aims to prevent the occurence of rabies, injuries, damage, and other hazards caused by dogs.
