Basa! Laguna Rep. Arlene Arcillas says reading is one of the greatest skills one could have
If there’s any skill worth learning, it is definitely reading, according to Laguna Rep. Arlene Arcillas.
Arcillas did not miss the chance to celebrate International Literacy Day this year, and took the time to encourage children to read and to develop a love for books.
In a Facebook post, she said teaching kids to love books is a great endeavor because not only would they gain knowledge, they would also learn to be creative.
To mark the day, she took the time to read to kids, and shared photos of the event on her Facebook page.
We wonder what’s on her own reading list?
“I look forward to celebrating International Literacy Day each year. It’s a great reminder for us to encourage our kids to enjoy reading – not only for the knowledge but also for the creativity it inspires. 📚
