Mayor Dimacuha strengthens home-based livelihood program for women
Batangas City Mayor Beverly Dimacuha on June 21 said the city government is strengthening its home-based livelihood program for women.
The Batangas politiko said the livelihood programs include backyard gardening, livestock-raising, aquaculture, food processing, and handicrafts.
Dimacuha said she hopes the program will help reduce unemployment as well as boost the city’s economy.
The Batangas City Mayor, via Executive Order No. 6, created the Committee on Livelihood which is tasked to introduce the home-based livelihood program to the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) and the Rural Improvement Clubs (RICs) – Batangas City chapters.
She also assigned City Planning and Development Officer IV Gilda Godoy as vice chairperson of the committee in charge of the home-based livelihood program.
