Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas lauded several of the province’s taekwondo jins last June 4.

Three Batangueño jins were medallists at the 25th International Taekwondo Festival held last May 19-20 in California.

Siblings Geraldine Jur Macatangay and Geradline Lex Macatangay bagged gold medals for the Junior Poomsae event.

Geraldine Jur also won the gold medal for the sparring event while Geradline Lex got the silver.

John Bruce Abante, meanwhile, won a silver for Kyorugi and a bronze for Poomsae.

Mandanas said the three taekwondo jins will be given scholarships in Senior High School up to college.
