Vilma Santos-Recto: Medical assistance for indigents in Lipa City begins in June
Batangas 6th District Representative Vilma Santos-Recto on May 23 witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Department of Health and seven Lipa City private hospitals to make healthcare more accessible to indigent patients.
Under the MOA, indigent patients will be able to get various medical assistance from the seven hospitals.
The seven participating hospitals are the Lipa City District Hospital,N.L. Villa Memorial Medical Center, Mary Mediatrix Medical Center, Metro Lipa Medical Center, San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Divine Love General Hospital, AND Lipa Medix Medical Center.
“This event marks the start of the partnership between the government and private entities in making proper healthcare accessible to indigent patients,” Recto said.
“Starting June 1, 2018, indigent patients may now avail of medical assistance to their hospital bills, special procedures, and medicines in seven participating hospitals in Lipa City,” she added
