Gov Mandanas leads awarding of loans to Batangas coops
Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas on May 7 led the awarding of loan assistance to various cooperatives in the province.
A total of P3,000,000 worth of loans were given to three cooperatives.
The Provincial Cooperative Livelihood and Enterprise Development Office (PCLEDO) gave P200,000 to Ilijan Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Batangas City.
The Lucban Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Balayan, meanwhile, received P500,000.
Batangas City’s Barangay Sto. Niño Multi-Purpose Cooperative, on the other hand, was awarded a P1,300,000-loan by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in cooperation with the Batangas provincial government and PCLEDO.
Mandanas said cooperatives aid many Filipinos have good livelihoods.
“Ang mga Pilipinong Batangueño ay masisipag kaya ang lahat ng mga ito ay nararapat na bigyan ng pagkakataon na magkaroon ng sariling kabuhayan sa tulong ng ating mga kooperatiba,” he said.
