Bakit hinarangan? Lucena Mayor Oli Dator laments improperly placed booths for Pahiyas
Tourists are expected to flock to Lucena for its annual colorful Pahiyas Festival, the premier tourism event for the city.
But Mayor Oli Dator is dismayed that the giant “I love Lucena” and “Pahiyas” signs at Marcos Tigla Park had been blocked by booths.
The signs would have been the perfect backdrop for photo ops of visitors, but the booths just ruin the view.
In a Facebook post, Dator called on the Pahiyas Execom to do something about this, and asked why it disregarded his suggestion not to put booths in the area.
He said it would have been better if people would be able to freely visit the area without impediments.
The local government has been vigorously promoting Pahiayas, but the people who allowed the booths in the area were not thinking of what is best for the event, he lamented.
” Dator posted.
