Angelina Tan moves to ban late night karaoke
Noisy neigbors on late night karaoke may soon be a thing of the past.
This after Quezon 4th District Representative Angelina Tan filed a bill seeking to ban the use of videoke or karaoke machines when they “cause unnecessary disturbance to the public within residential areas.”
According to a Rappler report, the Quezon politiko’s House Bill No. 1035 is moving to ban for “any person or business establishment to cause unnecessary disturbance to the public.”
Tan’s proposed measure bans “sound-amplifying equipment” like radios, CD players, television, musical instruments, and speakers after 10PM until 8AM everyday.
She said “unusually loud sounds from videoke/karaoke systems during unholy hours” are bad for public health.
