Libre ang martsa! Dasmarinas Mayor Pidi Barzaga reminds constituents not to pay any graduation fees in day cares

Feb 22, 2018 @ 20:30

Graduation season is coming soon, but it shouldn’t be hard parents’ pockets.

Dasmarinas Mayor Pidi Barzaga has reminded his constituents that public day care centers in the city do not collect graduation fees.

The centers’ parent associations cannot agree to collect certain fees either in connection with their kids’ graduation.

Barzaga explained that this is to ensure that graduation exercises remain free and accessible to everybody. He vowed to take action against those who would insist on collecting fees.

Graduations, even in day care centers, should be happy occasions. No need to make it a burden on the pocket!

“ANNOUNCEMENT
No GRADUATION FEES shall be collected at the PUBLIC DAY CARE CENTERS in the CITY OF DASMARIÑAS. Moreover, ASSOCIATIONS OF DAY CARE PARENTS are PROHIBITED from AGREEING AMONG THEMSELVES TO COLLECT CERTAIN FEES related to the graduation of their children to ensure that there shall be NO COLLECTION OF ANY FEE whatsoever. These directives are being made to guarantee that the DAY CARE PROGRAM of the CITY OF DASMARIÑAS shall REMAIN EXPENSE-FREE for the public and ACCESSIBLE to everybody. Should fees be collected for any graduation-related expense, DO NOT PAY AND PLEASE INFORM MAYOR PIDI BARZAGA at 0917-5010555 so that the appropriate action could be taken,” he posted on Facebook.
