Huli ka! Lucena Mayor Dondon Alcala lauds City Public Market Administrator for catching vendor illegally renting out a free stall

Feb 3, 2018 @ 16:06

Lucena, Quezon Mayor Roderick “Dondon” Alcala likes it when city officials are quick to act on violations.

On Facebook, Alcala heaped praise on City Public Market Administrator Noel Palomar for acting swiftly in the case of a vendor who tried to sell or rent out his public market space that was provided for free by the local government.

Alcala reminded his constituents that the city is providing the space for free to vendors, save for a few fees they have to pay.

They are supposed to use these spaces to ply their wares, not sell the space, which they do not technically own to begin with.

The stalls give them a chance to earn an honest living. There is no need to abuse the privilege!

Maraming salamat po!” he posted.
