Sweep! All Cavite LGUs pass ‘Child-Friendly Local Government Audit’
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) said all seven cities and 16 municipalities of Cavite passed the Child-Friendly Local Government Audit.
This means all of Cavite’s local government units (LGU) will be given the 2017 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) award.
The DILG said Cavite LGUs that were not SCFLG awardees the past two years were able to address several indicators in 2017, enabling to be eligible for the coveted award.
Among the indicators are reduction in deaths among under five year-old children, reduction in children under six years old with below normal weights, percentage increase in day care/early learning center attendance, and completion rate for elementary schooling.
The SCFLG award aims to improve the delivery of social services for children.
