It’s never too late! Dasmariñas City celebrates teachers’ month

It’s not yet too late to celebrate the teachers’ month.

The local government of Dasmariñas recently held a World Teachers’ Day celebration at the DNHS-Main Open Grounds, which was highlighted by games and raffles.

“Walang hanggang pasasalamat, Mayor Pidi Barzaga and Cong. Jenny Barzaga, honoring and recognizing our teachers in a way beyond expectation,” Dr. Manuela Tolentino, City Schools Division Superintendent of Dasmariñas was quoted as saying during the event.

The Dasmariñas City spearheaded a mass officiated by Fr. Jerome Marquez, provided dinner for all the public school teachers and officials.

The raffle for teachers included 265 prizes with two 40″ LED televisions and ten 32″ LED televisions from Cong. Jenny and Mayor Pidi Barzaga, three refrigerators from Board Members Rudy Lara and Vale Encabo and Vice Mayor Rex Mangubat and thirteen twin tub washing machines from the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members as the major prizes

Minor prizes meanwhile were sponsored by office heads and employees, developers, and suppliers of the City Government.

The highlight of the event was the solo singing and group modern dance contests that showcased the talents of the public school teachers in the field of performing arts.

Those who joined the singing contest received P2,000each an P5,000 for each group that participated in the modern dance competition.
