Cavite provincial gov’t spearheads tree planting activity

The Cavite provincial government has led a tree-planting activity on today in Magallanes town as part of the 2017 Cavite Greening Program.
The said activity aims to protect major stream banks and conserve water sources of the province.
During the activity, environmental advocates from the public and private sectors planted a total of 1,350 fruit bearing trees along Balisong and Bañaga river.
Moreover, to effectively carry out the project, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to was signed by the Provincial Government-Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO), Magallanes Mayor Jazmine M. Bautista, Ramirez Barangay Captain Avelino Perio, and Cabulusan Barangay Captain Jason Santiago.
The MOA signing was witnessed by Vice-Mayor Renato Dimapilis, MENRO Engr. Freddie Sisante, Provincial Administrator for External Affairs Engr. Efren Nazareno, Engr. Rolinio Pozas.
Also present during the signing were Executive Assistant to the Governor Vic Dihan along with other volunteers comprised of provincial government employees, Cavite Young Leaders for Entrepreneurship (CYLE), eco-aides, uniformed personnel of the PNP and BFP, students from Cavite State University and the University of Perpetual Help.
