Calabarzon towns dominate richest list of municipalities
Five municipalities from the Calabarzon Region made it to the top ten list of richest municipalities, Commission on Audit’s 2016 Annual Financial Report on local government units showed.
The report, released last week. revealed that the Cainta, Rizal remained to be the richest municipality with P3.51 billion total assets, higher than the P3.18 billion in 2015.
Sto. Tomas, Batangas ranked fifth with P1.56 billion. Occupying the sixth spot was another Rizal town, Tanay Rizal with P1,51 billion.
Binangonan, Rizal landed on the 8th spot with P1.46 billion. Taytay, Rizal rounded up the top 10 with P1.37 billion.
Others that made it were:
Limay, Bataan at second with P2.54 billion
Mariveles, Bataan at third with P2.10 billion
Sual, Pangasinan at fourth with P2.04 bilion
Claver, Surigao del Norte ath seventh with P1.47 billion
Palomolok, South Cotabato at ninth with P1.43 billion
