Mindoro Occidental politikos are set to draft a comprehensive sports development plan for the province.

Mindoro Occidental Governor Mario Mendiola and Representative Josephine Ramirez Sato recently conducted a consultation with the province’s sports coordinators, physical education teachers, and coaches to formulate the province’s sports program.

Mendiola said Occidental Mindoro hasn’t had a sports development program in the past years.

Sato said this must be corrected by institutionalizing a plan that will make sports more vibrant in the province.

“We can push more activities including the indigenous people to be part of the Provincial Sports Program,” Mendiola said.
