Acop demands uncut footage of Resorts World: Casino-hotel has hundreds of cameras that can show how 37 died

Resorts Worlds management might not have presented a full picture of the attack carried out by a lone gunman in its audio-video presentation to Congress.

The former police general said that with these much camera angles available, probers would get a more comprehensive and less speculative view of the critical hours during the siege.

“I believe that if we conduct a review of the full footage and not just splices given by Resorts World, we can get a full picture of how the 37 people perished in the incident,” said Acop in an interview with Politiko.

House committee on games and amusement has ordered Resorts World Manila to submit the full CCTV recordings from May 31 to June 3.

The bodies of 37 guests and employees who died of suffocation in the incident were mostly found at the second floor. The lone gunman, Jessie Javier Carlos, hid inside a room and shot himself in the mouth after setting himself on fire.

Resorts World is owned by Bilyonaryo Andrew Tan’s Alliance Global Inc. and Genting Group of Malaysia.
