General Mariano Alvarez Mayor Walter Echevarria Jr. on May 2 ordered the municipality’s barangays to strictly enforce Republic Act 9003 or the Solid Waste Management Act.

This after the local government crafted its Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan (MSWMP).

The Cavite politiko reminded barangay captains that they are responsible for the segregation and collection of solid waste in their areas.

Echevarria also directed the barangay executives to formulate their respective Barangay Solid Waste Management Plan (BSWMP).

Each barangay’s BSWMPs is expected to be submitted on or before June this year.#
