Friends na kami! Laguna Vice Guv Karen Agapay partners with Bohol LGU for Civil Society and Local Government Partnerships

Apr 7, 2017 @ 17:43

Laguna Vice Governor Karen Agapay delivered her good news on social media. No, it’s not a verse from the bible, but an update on their provinces prospering partnerships and friendships with other cities within the Philippines.

Their latest friend? The island of Bohol.

With an extravagant dinner at the Governor’s Mansion in Bohol, the two Politiko parties have signed their Memorandum of Understanding or MOU regarding the Strengthening Meaningful Civil Society and Local Government Partnerships in the Open Government Partnership (OGP)” Project.

VG Karen said on her Facebook post: “his project aims to develop a Subnational OGP model that will be studied to cull out inputs to the 4th OGP National Action Plan ???
ULAP believe that having a subnational model will not only raise awareness but also encourage local governments in the Philippines to adopt the principles of good governance. ULAP sees this as a contribution in our pursuit of genuine local autonomy and development.”
