VP Leni’s ‘Angat Buhay Program’ launch gets warm thanks from Dagupan Mayor Fernandez
For picking Dagupan City as one of the 50 pilot areas of her “Angat Buhay Program,” Vice President Leni Robredo has gotten the warmest thanks from city’s politikos and long-time residents.
This was disclosed by Mayor Belen Fernandez in a statement Saturday, November 12.
Robredo visited Dagupan City to launch three projects under three different corporation partners of the “Angat Buhay Program”.
This includes a feeding program for malnourished children of Barangays Carael and Calmay by Innerwheel Club Philippibnes, donation of story books for the Carael Elementary School by Canvas PH, and Wellness Program for Senior Citizens by Seaoil Foundation.
Fernandez expects 14 more projects, funded by different corporations social responsibility programs, to arrive in Dagupan City within the year and be completed within one to two years’ time.
“Here in Dagupan, we will help and facilitate all the projects of the Vice President. Team work is really needed,” she said.
Fernandez said among the other “Angat Buhay” projects coming were training and support to Dagupan farmers, livelihood training for womenfolk, project to enhance the capabilities of the city’s rescue center and more feeding projects for malnourished school children in all villages.
