Oct 9, 2016 @ 12:05

Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino III is asking for help from municipal health officers in disseminating the provincial government’s advocacies against rabies and teenage pregnancies.

The politiko made this appeal last Friday, October 7, during his speech before Association of Municipal Health Officers Association of Pangasinan (AMHOP) at the Capitol Resort Hotel in Lingayen.

Espino sought AMHOP’s assistance after noting that rabies cases and teenage pregnancies incidents in Pangasinan are at all-time high.

No exact figures were given but the politiko said the spikes were very alarming.

As this develops, AMHOP president Dr. Lilibeth Fermin, assured the politiko of their support and commitment in addressing rabies cases and rise of teenage pregnancies.

She said various rabies control strategies would be put in place in every town and city of Pangasinan.

Fermin added they would interact more often with youth groups on health counseling and information dissemination on sex education in a bid to eliminate child pregnancy .
