Plan your trip: Kennon Road impassable Sept 27 to Oct 3
Motorists heading for Baguio City may have to plan their routes without passing Kennon Road, which will be closed from 7 a.m. of Sept. 27 to 7 p.m. of Oct. 3.
The Department of Public Works and Highways said this is due to bridge construction at KO 235+504 in the Camp 5 area.
DPWH Cordillera Administrative Region Director Danilo Dequito said motorists can instead take Rosario-Pugo-Baguio Road or Marcos Highway and Naguilian Road in going to and from Baguio City.
Also, the DPWH said a portion of Urdaneta Junction Dagupan Road at KM 206+325 in Calasiao, Pangasinan will be closed to traffic on October 1 and 2 for the launching of steel girder of the on-going overpass rehabilitation project in front of Robinsons Place.
The DPWH said its Pangasinan 4th District Engineering Office is implementing the rehabilitation of the pedestrian overpass.
Buses and light vehicles going to Dagupan City are advised to turn right while those heading to Sta. Barbara are advised to turn left at Robinson’s Mall, respectively.
Drivers/operators of six-wheeler trucks including heavy equipment passing along Urdaneta Jct.-Dagupan Road are advised to take Calasiao Old Road while those going to to Dagupan City are advised to take Parongking-Tebeng Road.
