Like a true showbiz icon, Governor Vilma Santos-Recto took her gratitude for the May 9 elections to a video message to her fans.
The Star for All Seasons filmed a two-minute video to personally thank resident of Lipa, Batangas for choosing her as their congresswoman, following three terms as provincial governor.
“Sinimulan at pinagyaman natin ang demokrasya sa Lipa. Sisiguraduhin namin ang tapat at maayos na serbisyo,” Recto said on Facebook. “Ang tiwalang ibinigay ninyo ay alam kong may kasamang pagmamahal, kaya hindi ko kayo bibiguin.”
The movie star bagged 79,065 votes against her opponent Bernadette Sabili’s 57,458 votes.
