Mark Cojuangco defies NPC, picks Binay over Poe as president
Former Pangasinan representative Mark Cojuangco, the son of business tycoon Danding Cojuangco, has officially endorsed the presidential bid of Vice President Jejomar Binay.
During a campaign rally in Sison, Pangasinan on April 25, 2016, Cojuangco said Binay is the only candidate with an extensive experience of local governance, with his two decades of serving as Makati mayor.
Binay is also the candidate leading the presidential surveys conducted in Pangasinan, Cojuangco added.
I am also echoing the sentiment of Pangasinenses,” he added.
Pangasinan is the third most vote-rich province in the Philippines with over 1.7 million registered voters.
The United Nationalist Alliance estimated that around 6,000 attended the campaign rally in Sison.
Cojuangco endorsed Binay even though his father business tycoon Danding backed the presidential bid of Sen. Grace Poe.
Poe also has the backing of Cojuangco’s party the Nationalist People’s Coalition.
